Some of you may be new faces in my chair, while others have been with me since the very beginning, when I opened Ambassadress Hair Studio. I appreciate every single one of you more than I can put into words.

You have trusted me, appointment after appointment, with my skills, my creativity, and your hair—and I am so grateful for that confidence. I truly adore doing hair. But I also adore our chats. Hair is such a social thing, and over the years I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside so many of you through moments of your lives. We’ve talked, shared, laughed, and cried. I’ve been there through some of your best moments and some of your hardest, and I am incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built along the way.

Now, it’s time to RALLY for me. 

I have been diagnosed with cervical cancer.

It has been a journey to get to this diagnosis. Many of you have walked a similar path and understand firsthand what this can mean. For those who haven’t, I sincerely hope you never have to.

I will be living in Vancouver while I undergo treatment at the Cancer Institute. I will be having daily radiation alongside chemotherapy, and after that, I’ll be focusing on recovery.

For those of you who have appointments booked in September and October thru November...those appointments will need to be cancelled. I’m not sure exactly when I’ll be ready to return behind my chair, but I can tell you that I am already looking forward to the day I can get back to doing what I love.

In the meantime, if you would like to continue seeing someone at Ambassadress Hair Studio, please reach out to Mary or Melanie. They know that many of you may want to stay within the studio while I’m away, and they are there to support both you and me. Mary offers all hair services, including pixies, short hair, and men’s cuts. Melanie offers most hair services, but does not do short hair or men’s hair.

Please note that their pricing will differ from mine.

For now, I’m asking you to keep me in your thoughts, send me your healing energy, and manifest all those positive healing powers as I begin this journey.

This is my story, and cancer is only one chapter. I fully intend for the ending to be a happy one. I’ve got this. I’m going into it with clarity, positivity, strength, and spirit. And I know I have an incredible community behind me.

Thank you for your continued support, your kindness, your love, and most of all, for the relationships we’ve built over the years.

I will see you all again in a few months.
